What time do we check in? You will be meeting your Captain at The Captain’s Corner 15 minutes prior to your departure time. Captain’s Corner is near the Fresh Ketch restaurant. Your Captain will have a cart to help you bring any food and beverages down the dock that you have brought with you. Captain’s Corner has last minute items like sunglasses, sunscreen, towels, tumblers, bachelorette party gear, novelty tanks/tees, light snacks and souvenir items just in case you forgot something. Please call (530) 494-9222 if you are lost. Traffic can be congested on Hwy 50/Lake Tahoe Blvd; please plan accordingly and give yourself plenty of time to get to the marina. It is not uncommon for it to take 30 minutes or more to get from the casinos to the marina.

Is there a bathroom on board? Yes.

What should I wear? Please dress comfortably. Flat shoes are recommended for your safety as the vessel will be moving across the lake. The weather in Lake Tahoe can be unpredictable, temperatures can change drastically, please plan accordingly. We do have blankets on board and the boat is equipped with a heater for colder nights. Bring towels if you are planning on swimming.

Where does the cruise go? Cruises leave from the Tahoe Keys Marina in South Lake Tahoe, California. We can cruise anywhere you’d like on Lake Tahoe, time and weather dependent. Popular destinations are Emerald Bay, Cave Rock, Ski Beach, Edgewood, to name a few. Legend is a cruiser, not a speed boat, so sticking with south shore destinations is best. We cannot disembark in Emerald Bay but we will stop for picture opportunities or anchor nearby if time allows. In rare circumstances, due to the wind, water, and wave conditions, we cannot cruise to Emerald Bay. We reserve the right to change the course of operations for passenger and vessel safety.

Are pets allowed? Please notify us in advance if you will be bringing a service animal with you so we can accommodate accordingly. No pets are allowed on Legend.

Is there an age requirement? Any guests under 13 will be required to wear a life jacket for the entirety of their cruise. You may bring your own or we can provide one for you. We recommend Lake Tahoe Sitters if you are looking to enjoy some relaxing adult time with your group. Lake Tahoe Sitters is CPR and First Aid certified as well as Livescan fingerprinted and has completed an FBI background check.

Can I bring food aboard? You may bring any food that you’d like to bring. There is a mini-fridge in the galley for your use, we can provide you with an ice chest if you need one. Out of an abundance of caution, the stove and oven may not be used during your charter. We can also arrange for catering for your group, please inquire with us about options.

Is there a minimum time requirement for Private Tours? Yes, there is a 2-hour minimum requirement for private tours, max 6 hours.

What is your payment policy? A deposit can be made to hold your date and time, full payment is due 30 days prior to your departure.

What is your cancellation policy? Guests should arrive to the marina 30 minutes prior to departure, your charter time begins and ends as stated in your contract. If you are late, the end time of your charter will not be extended unless you choose to pay for additional rental time. PRIVATE CHARTER CANCELLATION REQUIRES 14 DAYS ADVANCE NOTICE TO RECEIVE 100% REFUND, 7-13 DAYS ADVANCE NOTICE WILL RECEIVE 50% REFUND, ZERO REFUND IF LESS THAN 7 DAYS NOTICE IS GIVEN. Please allow 7 days for all refund processing. Customers will receive a full refund or credit in case of operator/Captain cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows of any kind will be charged the full price.

If the customer chooses to purchase our Cancellation Coverage, they are able to cancel their reservation and receive a refund in full on the cost of their charter up to the day of their scheduled charter, the Cancellation Coverage fee itself is non-refundable. The customer will not need to file a claim but they will need to call us or email us prior to their charter to cancel. THIS DOES NOT COVER NO-CALL/NO-SHOWS.

Where do we park? Guests will need to park in the Tahoe Keys Marina parking lot or designated parking spots along Venice Drive. Cars parked illegally will be towed at the owner’s expense. On weekends, especially holiday and event weekends, we recommend using alternate transportation such as taxi’s, uber or carpool if possible as parking can be difficult. CLICK HERE FOR A MAP

Is there public transportation? If you do not have a designated driver, please arrange for a taxi by calling (530) 543-0330. Uber and Lyft are also available through their smartphone apps. Are walk-ups or same day bookings allowed? Yes, we can take same-day bookings, but please call first (530) 494-9222. There is NO ticket office at the marina so please book online or call us.

Can I smoke on the tour? No. Smoking, of any kind, including e-cigarettes and vape pens, are NOT permitted on the dock or the boat.

WEATHER AND WATER CONDITIONS ON LAKE TAHOE CAN CHANGE AT ANY TIME. VESSEL OPERATION IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CAPTAIN. IF THE CAPTAIN DECIDES TO CHANGE, CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE A CRUISE WE WILL CONTACT YOU BY PHONE.
